Be a Conscious, Stress Free Leader

Welcome to a new year and the Jan/Feb edition of  LOL: Lessons on Leadership, Lumina & Life.  We hope your year is off to a great start. I personally have spent the last few weeks purging everything – emails, clothes, paperwork, old electronics and notebooks – making room for new experiences, new learnings, and even a few ‘resolutions’. It has been a while since our last edition of LOL. Just like for you, life got busy for us last year.

So to start the year, here are some great books and articles that will be valuable in assisting with that New Year’s resolution for enhancing your personal and team leadership, and to do it with less stress!

Last year proved to be a transformational year for women, too, and I continue to be inspired by what my gender has achieved en masse at a local, national and global level. One of my personal goals is to continue to empower women in finding and using their voices to control their own destiny, and to further the momentum we have gained by extending the spirit of the #Time’s Up movement in other facets.

This year I will co-sponsor the second year of a Bay Area-based Women’s empowerment program started by the Inspired Heart Foundation.  We are currently seeking applicants and donations to support this valuable work to empower women “in our own backyard”. I continue to engage with Rise Up, a global non-profit that supports the education and empowerment of girls and women globally (Africa, Latin America, South Asia), in the San Francisco Bay Area, and in key states in the US South. Read more here about the work of Rise Up.

We hope the coming year brings you new skills and knowledge, a renewed commitment to building your own leadership capabilities and those of your team, and the inspiration to “be the change you want to see in the world.

I’m committed, how about you?

All the Best,

Loretta Stagnitto
