Is it me, or did 2025 just happen “like that”🤔🤞 (audio: finger snap)? I don’t know about you, but even though I created goals for 2025 at the beginning of the year, I sure didn’t spend much time reviewing and reflecting on them because I was too busy executing! Reflecting now, I wonder, did I constantly bring my best self forward amidst all the uncertainty and constant change (and speed) of 2025? I certainly hope so. But since hope is not a personal development strategy, I can make it intentional to ALWAYS Bring My Best Self-Forward in 2026. In fact, I can use my Reflection Calendar to make sure I’m doing it throughout the year. And so can you.

Whether you adore New Year’s Resolutions, or abhor them (yes, it’s either/or for many), I’m suggesting you let Reflections, not Resolutions, drive your personal development strategy of always bringing your best self-forward this year. - Daily for 1-minute: “What new thing did I do today?” “What did I learn?” “What one thing will I do differently tomorrow?”
- Monthly for 10-minutes: “How am I doing on my learning objectives?” “What do I need to do to keep growing?” “How will I get meaningful feedback?”
- Quarterly for 15-minutes: “What do I need to do to manage my personal growth and professional development more effectively?” What is important for me to develop going forward?”
- Annually for 1-hour: “Am I living my life the way I want to?” “Am I on a path to become the person I truly want to be?” “Where do I stand relative to what truly matters to me?” “Where do I want to be a year from now and how do I get there?”
